ELIGIBILITY & PREREQUISITE
The vehicle shall be Self- Driven
The rental rates mentioned in the website are liable to be changed without prior notice
In case of early return – Daily rate will apply if vehicle is being used less than 07 days, weekly
basis if more than 07 days and less than 30 days.
One day rental is equal to 24 hours, check – in or return time should be the same as check out or hire time. Late check-ins will be charged as an additional day.
Rental Rates includes Comprehensive (Basic with Excess Liability) Insurance.
All prices are including services, maintenance and any replacements during services or breakdown along with 24/7 assistance.
In case of loss of Asset due to theft / hi-jacking or any other reason, the hire agreement will remain open and we
shall raise invoices towards monthly rental charges, until such time we receive the final Police Report.
The rental agreement encompassing all the details to Terms & Condition shall be signed by the renter.

Note: Renters on UAE residence visa who are holding International driving license or Home Country License are
not allowed to rent a car in accordance with Government Rules. In case a renter has changed his/her status from
tourist Visa to Residence/Employment visa they will have to stop using the vehicle immediately as it is
illegal to drive the vehicle. Any change in Visa status, UAE driving license and Visa page should be sent to SHIFT CAR RENTAL for updating in the system.
In case of noncompliance, renter will be responsible for any penalty imposed by the Government Authorities,
non-coverage of insurance, legality issues that may occur during the rental period.
Age Requirement
Minimum of 22 Years old
Maximum of 65 Years old
In case of accident at fault or third-party unknown damage, an additional amount of 10% will be charged on the total
cost of damages plus insurance excess of AED 1,500 if the renter is below 22 years of age.
If age is above 65 years, then prior approval has to be taken from insurance company before renting. Approval will
take minimum 24 hours. Once approved, In case of accident at fault or third-party unknown damage, an additional amount
of 10% will be charged on the total cost of damages plus insurance excess of AED 1,500.
Contemporaneous Rentals
The Renter is not allowed to hire more than one (01) car at the same time.
Shift Car Rental may have the right to decline the second booking / request.
Charge Information
A surcharge of 10% (Ten percent) will apply for every traffic violation incurred during the period
the car is at renter’s possession. Any late posted traffic violations will be charged directly to the credit card
provided even after the closure of the agreement.
UAE Toll gate charges will be actual plus AED 1/- as admin fee will be applied per crossing. Any late posted Toll Gate
fee will be charged directly to the credit card provided even after the closure of the rental agreement.
The Renter is fully liable for damage caused for every puncture, flat of a tire during the period of rent. The Renter
undertakes to pay the cost.
All prices are including services, maintenance and any replacements during service / breakdown along with 24/7
roadside assistance.
Additional Driver & Charges
In case of any additional driver, such information must be provided to us before 24 Hours along with a copy of the
driving license, passport and visa page.
Daily: 30 AED Weekly: 100 AED Monthly: 150 AED
Refueling Services
The Renter shall bear the fuel expenses during the rental period, however, if the vehicle is returned with less fuel
than it was rented, then the renter shall pay for the fuel consumed along with service charges.
20% refueling charges are applicable plus the actual fuel cost if car is returned not of the same level as check out.
Payment & Security Deposit
Rental payment in Advance
Security Deposit of 1,000 AED for Economy cars and 5,000 AED for Premium cars to be blocked on customer’s/ renter’s
credit card which will be released by bank automatically to the cardholder account after 21-30 days.
Security deposit will be renewed every 23rd of the month, if rental is extended for another month.
An authorization hold from credit card will be renewed or taken upon vehicle off-hire.
The monthly Rental Agreement shall be deemed to be renewed automatically after the 21st day of your rental with the
same terms and conditions (including the renewal of pre-authorized/blocked amount for security deposit) Please
notify us three days prior to your rental expiry to discontinue payment charges for the subsequent monthly car hire.
Billing Cycle every 1st of the month. If rented in between the dates, a pro rata basis will be charged in advance for
number of days until end of the month.
Please refer to your invoice for new payment due date, if you are currently set up for automatic payments, your
payment due date will be adjusted in accordance with the change in your billing cycle.
Refund Policy
In case of Refund, amount will be processed from the off-hiring date and will be released after 45 days.
Vehicle Management Charge (VMC)
Daily: 4.00 AED Weekly: 25.00 AED Monthly: 60.00 AED

If GPS is provided, charges at AED 800/- will be applicable in case of any loss or damage.
In case of loss or damage of Registration document (Mulkiya) applicable charges are AED 100 for DXB plate & AED 500.00
for AUH plate cars.
Original key charges in case of loss or damage will be borne by the renter. The cost will vary from vehicle to vehicle.
Delivery & Collection Charges

Mileage Restriction
Unlimited kilometer for Daily and Weekly rental for Nissan, Kia & Hyundai vehicles
Limited mileage of 200 KMS per day extra @ 40 fils per km for INFINITI and RENAULT Cars.
Limited Mileage of 4500 KMS for Monthly Rentals of Nissan, Kia < Hyundai Cars extra @ 40 fils
Limited Mileage of 4000 KMS for Monthly Rentals of Infiniti and Renault, Hyundai extra @ 40 fils
Insurance Clauses
A police report is mandatory in an event of accident/unknown damage. Final police report is mandatory, or else the
renter will need to pay the complete repair charges.
All SHIFT vehicles include comprehensive (Basic with Excess Liability) insurance. Should the police report confirm
that the renter is at fault during an accident or reports for unknown damage, he /she is liable to pay an excess
liability as per the table. This can be waived if SCDW has been taken.
Renter’s holding a UAE Driver’s License which is less than 06 months should provide the home country driver’s license
which should be held for a minimum period of 2 years as supporting document at the time of renting the
vehicle. Else, 10% of the entire damage cost will apply in addition to Insurance excess.
Cross to Border (Sultanate of Oman)
Prior permission shall be obtained from us in case the vehicle is to be used outside UAE. The additional insurance
coverage to be obtained at an extra cost by the Renter.
